Terre del Colleoni or Colleoni DOC

History

This is the newborn in Bergamo, officially recognize in May 2011 by the Gazzetta Ufficiale 55 8th March 2011. This is the second DOC recognized to Bergamo and it is entirely devoted to native grapes, some of them have been grown in Bergamo since ancient time.

This new DOC represents a new commitment for Bergamo wine producers: a commitment to produce certified and guaranteed wines.
It is commitment and not an award. DOC represents the allegiance Bergamo wine producers accepted to bring Bergamo oenology at a higher level. Moreover, DOP is a guarantee to the foreign market too. Consorzio Tutela Valcalepio and Vignaioli Bergamaschi are working hard on promoting the Wine of Bergamo in other Countries too. The introduction of this new DOC represents a promise Bergamo producers are making to their consumers. They promise to bring Bergamo Oenology higher and higher.
